On March 23, SHRM collaborated with FranklinCovey Vietnam, Blanchard Vietnam and Hogan Assessments to successfully organize the HR Seminar 2023 with the theme "INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP - How to Create a Culture of Belonging Where Everyone Can Thrive" in Ho Chi Minh City.

With the companionship of partners, guests from units who are actively supporting and having practical programs to spread DEI culture in the workplace, the event shared meaningful stories and offered suggestions in the application of Inclusive culture, how differences and disagreements can be reconciled not only from gender or skin color but also perceptions, ideologies and personalities; How to unify these diverse differences to foster collective intelligence that helps the organization achieve common goals and move forward continuously.

Become an Inclusive Leader

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Krista Pederson – Asia Director of Hogan Assessments shared the topic "DEI & Leaders: Creating a Culture of Inclusivity". The sharing section had many valuable ideas and perspectives on the issues:

- Why businesses need to care about DEI culture is based on surveys of diverse companies.

- How to Improve DEI Culture in Entrepreneurship: Design a Clear DEI Strategy, Increase Diversity, and Promote Equity

- What an Inclusive Leader looks like: Mindful, emotionally stable, sympathetic, tolerant, honest, humble, interested in helping others.

- How to hire an Inclusive leader: Based on Hogan's personality science such as HPI, HDS, MVPI will help businesses better understand people to make HR development decisions and hiring decisions

DEI culture is so complex that organizations should invest time, effort, and budget to focus on this topic because half-hearted efforts can have negative effects.
